Essence Festival Brings Culture and Music Together

For the second consecutive year, the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, presented by Coca-Cola, will take over the entire Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans from July 4 to 7 for a four-day event to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The party culminates each night at the evening concert series, but it begins with the return of unforgettable daytime experiences, including a food and wine festival, film festival, beauty, community impact, HBCUs, authors, and much more.

The annual festival will bring in some of the biggest names in music to New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome for a concert series featuring Hip-Hop and R&B. Headliners at this year’s extravaganza include Usher, Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Keke Palmer and Big Boi. Currently, Essence Music Festival tickets at Vivid Seats start at $70, with an average price of $911.

On Friday, July 5, performers include T-Pain, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Birdman, Ari Lennox, Juvenile, Jacquees, Mannie Fresh, Mickey Guyton and Raj Smoove. Friday will be co-hosted by Pretty Vee and Punkie Johnson.

On Saturday, July 6, performers will be Usher, Ayra Starr, Charlie Wilson, Big Boi, D-Nice, DJ Clark Kent, Donell Jones, Lloyd, Machel Montano, Method Man and Sheila E. Saturday will be co-hosted by TGT and Kenny Burns.
On Sunday, July 7, entertainers include Janet Jackson, Keke Palmer, Victoria Monét, Teedra Moses, Tank and the Bangas, SWV, Jagged Edge, DJ Beverly Bond, Frank Beverly and Maze, Dawn Richard and Bilal. Sunday will be co-hosted by Anthony Hamilton and Big Tigger.
